Bug clothes

Optional:

Camp chairs
Extra towels
Other gear

Commentary:

Sleeping bag/bed linens:
See the floor plans for the types of beds that are available.  Sizes range from full king-size down to a small cot and a couch.  And note that the king-size and the queen-size beds can be separated into two small beds (basically twin sized beds).
Click here for how to configure the beds.

Groceries:
The kitchen is fully functional with a gas stove and a mid-sized refrigerator/freezer.  Feel free to use any of the foodstuffs already in the cabin.  On the front porch is a gas grill. Pots and pans and kitchen utensils are provided as well as dinnerware.  We also have a small rice cooker.  Coffee is available using a pour-through cone, percolator, or French press method. It is not recommended that you bring any electrical appliances as they will quickly deplete the battery.

Bug clothes:
Permethrin-treated clothes are optional but recommended.

Camp chairs:
We have several sizes and styles of folding chairs but for large groups it is a good idea to bring a few extras.  Also if you have a chair just right for you, you should bring it.

Extra towels:
We provide a supply of towels and washcloths but, especially for larger groups, it would be a good idea to bring some extras.  And just a reminder, there is no hot running water and any bathing water will need to be sterilized from the cistern.  We provide a generous supply of no-rinse, one-use, body cloths.  They do a pretty good job for freshening up.  (Note that they should go in the trash, not flushed in the toilet.)

Other gear:
Of course you should bring any other camping and personal gear that you think you'll need.  As we remind ourselves all the time, THIS IS CAMPING!  And, on that note, there are several good tent camping sites on the property.
